Ana Mabeline Aguirre paints and draws sitting on the floor, barefoot she walks from the studio to the sandy backyard to sketch drawings under the sun. Her paints and prints show the marks of the desert, cracks, textures and deep dark lines connecting her with her hometown desert from north Mexico to the Central Oregon’s landscape.
The ink became a metaphor and her art work shows her fascination for the women’s inner mystery and strength,
mother earth and fecundity. Everything is about experimentation, symbols and personal imagery.
She obtained her BFA in Visual Arts from Nuevo Leon University and was awarded with an scholarship from the Fachhochschule Koln in Cologne Germany to develop an experimental art program.
