THE MAYA CONCEPT OF ZERO
In western culture a zero means nothing, the maya zero represented by a shell means evolution. The numbers are limited by their own representation but the zero allow them to reach the infinite. The death is not an end, it is a passage to the other world. The evolution, change, unfolding, transformation in my work is represented by a shell or a cocoon and what is growing inside.
